Search engine optimization has come a long way in the past few years. Many different things affect your SEO ranking, and some of them you may not even know! It's important to stay up-to-date on what is happening in this industry if you want to do well with online marketing campaigns.
That's why I've pulled together 7 simple SEO tips so you can make sure you're using the best SEO strategy for the coming year. These are great SEO ideas that will boost your traffic in 2021.
When you combine two pages on the same topic, Google doesn't know which page to rank higher. And this can be a problem because your target audience may not find what they want if it is split between one of those pages.
So instead of combining these, pick the stronger and more authoritative article as a source and build off that. Take the other page with less authority, connect its content to your stronger one. Combine their links to it too. You can do this by using a 301 redirect.
If in doubt, though, use an SEO tool like semrush or ahrefs that will show when there are better opportunities for backlinks on your site and how popular they'll be based on social media shares and so on.
Don't let your site fall victim to what happened with about.com, a company that was driven into the ground by having too many pages and not enough traffic coming in from those sites.
Why it was shut Down?
A lot of articles were not detailed, and they weren't getting any traffic. Some of them were about topics that don't exist anymore. For example, no one really cares to read about Myspace anymore. If you want to make sure people are reading all of your content, then it's best to have fewer but more engaging articles on one website instead of trying for quantity over quality as they did at about.com.
So, if you only have specific pages - they are great; they are amazing. People want to read about them. Then it would be best if you took all the juice, all the authority in your website and directed them to the pages people want to read about it. It helps them rank better.
I'm not finished yet, but I want to share with you a great piece of SEO tips- presented by famous Nathan Gotch.
Your title tags must be spot on if you're trying to rank at the top of Google Ads. You might think that all keywords in a well-written meta description could do the trick. But don't be deceived!
Why? The answer is simple: people get bored with too much repetition and want something fresh and original instead.
So if someone saw "SEO" replicated three times within one page - they may not stay there for long or click through to read more about what SEO is. Still, when they see something like this (spoiler alert!) The beginner’s guide to SEO - they'll stick around because now we've captured their attention by being different from the crowd. Therefore, it tells Google that people prefer it more. And so, it should get an SEO ranking. Then, Google Ads will give you a sense.
Google Ads don't just show the listings that pay more; they follow a formula based on quality score and consider click volume. So look at Google ads for title ideas which you can use in your organic search results too!
Why Digital Marketing Is Important For Small Business?
Let’s find out why digital marketing is important for small businesses.
The design process for infographics is simple, but it takes a lot of time and effort. If you're looking to save some cash while still having your content look good, there are plenty of tools out there that can help.
I like using Canva because it's easy on the eyes yet powerful enough to give me all the options I need when designing! It also has templates, so if you don't have any ideas at first or want something even more accessible than just typing up text with graphics over the top - use one of their pre-made designs instead.
Now, What’s next in line?
What I like doing is - I reach out to all the people that link to the article and hit them up to be like - "Hey, I noticed that you linked to this article by Tim. I turned that content into an infographic, which makes it easier for your audience to understand. So feel free and share it and link to it, or even embed it within your article, if you would like."
If you're not familiar with YouTube, it's the second most popular search engine in the world.
But how many people are aware of this? Just because Google is at number one doesn't mean that its lesser-known counterpart can't make waves on your website too.
Create videos for some of your best articles and publish them to YouTube as well! Make sure keywords show up prominently within both video titles and subtitles—and include unique thumbnails. Try to keep your video lengths between 7 to 10 minutes and avoid shorter videos like 3 minutes, 5 minutes. You will do well on YouTube this way. If people are searching for those topics, you are getting tons of SEO traffic and hence you will be on top of SEO ranking.
Send link juice to pages that are sitting on page two or three of the SERPs. With Seo tools, you can track your SEO ranking, and it'll show you, for your website, what keywords you're ranking for, what page you are on, and what position.
Look at all the ones on page two and page three, positions 11 through 20 or 11 through 30, and what I want you to do is see if you can link to those pages from other relevant pages within your site. That's called internal linking.
Whenever you search toaster ovens or tools, SEO tools, or credit cards, the best 10 of these products are always listed. That means people love 'best' related articles! If you have one and just put yours at the top-you'll be better off in the long run. Very short but very actionable tips, isn't it?
